Norfagyl + Suspension 60Ml

Norfagyl Plus Oral Suspension is used to manage bacterial and protozoal infections in paediatric patients.

Uses of Norfagyl Plus Oral Suspension are:

• Gastrointestinal Infections: Treats bacterial diarrhoea, dysentery, and stomach infections caused by protozoa.
• Respiratory and ENT Infections: Helps manage bacterial infections of the lungs, throat, and ears.
• Dental and Soft Tissue Infections: Treats dental tissue infections like periodontitis as well as skin infections.

Giving Norfagyl Plus Oral Suspension to your child involves the following steps:

• Before each use, shake the bottle well to ensure the ingredients are evenly distributed.
• Measure out the exact dose as recommended by your child's doctor.
• Give this medicine to your child as per your doctor's guidance and for the complete duration advised.
• If your child has diabetes, consult your doctor before giving this medicine as it is sugar-based.

Norfagyl Plus Oral Suspension is given orally to your child.

Norfagyl Plus Oral Suspension contains three active ingredients:

• Ofloxacin (100 mg): This is an antibiotic that prevents bacterial DNA replication and cell division by inhibiting two enzymes—DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV—in the bacteria. It has a broad spectrum of activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
• Metronidazole (200 mg): This is an antibiotic that works against anaerobic bacteria and certain parasites. It penetrates bacterial cells and inhibits DNA synthesis which leads to cell death. Metronidazole is particularly effective against Gram-negative anaerobic bacteria.

• Store Norfagyl Plus Oral Suspension in a tightly closed container.
• The ideal storage temperature is between 15° to 30°C.
• Keep the medicine away from direct sunlight and excess moisture.
• Always keep this medicine out of reach of children.

• Encourage your child to drink plenty of fluids. Staying hydrated can help manage diarrhoea, a common symptom in gastrointestinal infections for which Norfagyl Plus Oral Suspension is used.
• Opt for light, easily digestible meals. Consuming bland foods like rice, bananas, and toast can help soothe an upset stomach linked with bacterial infections.
