Neosorlen T 0.2 % Lotion 15 ML

Neosorlen T 0.2 % Lotion 15 ML is used for the treatment of vitiligo, managing white patches on the skin and restoring normal skin color. It is also effective for managing psoriasis, treating red, scaly patches, and is used in combination with UVA light during phototherapy.

Follow these instructions while using Neosorlen T 0.2 % Lotion 15 ML:

• Shake the bottle well before each use.

• Clean and dry the affected skin area thoroughly before application.

• Apply a thin layer of the lotion evenly on the affected areas only.

• Wash your hands immediately after application to avoid spreading to other areas.

• Do not apply to open wounds or infected skin.

• Avoid direct sunlight for at least 8 hours after applying the lotion.

• Wear protective clothing when going outdoors after application.

Neosorlen T 0.2 % Lotion 15 ML is applied topically.

Neosorlen T 0.2 % Lotion 15 ML contains trioxsalen (0.2% w/v), which works on the body as follows:

• Photosensitisation: Trioxsalen increases your skin's sensitivity to ultraviolet A (UVA) light, which is necessary for the treatment to be effective.

• DNA Cross-linking: When activated by UVA light, trioxsalen sticks to the DNA in skin cells and links the strands together, which can slow down or change how the cells grow and divide.

• Melanocyte Stimulation: The interaction with DNA promotes melanin production by pigment-producing cells, which helps restore normal skin colour in vitiligo-affected areas.

• Cell Growth Regulation: In psoriatic skin, the medicine slows the rapid division of skin cells, helping to reduce the formation of scaly patches.

• Store Neosorlen T 0.2 % Lotion 15 ML below 25°C.

• Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.

• Protect from direct sunlight and heat.

• Store away from moisture.

• Keep out of reach of children.

• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the packaging.

• Avoid foods that increase light sensitivity during your treatment, such as limes, figs, parsley, mustard, carrots, and celery, as these can worsen your skin's reaction to UV light.

• Wear protective clothing (long sleeves or hats) and use high SPF sunscreen when outdoors to protect your skin while managing vitiligo with Neosorlen T 0.2 % Lotion 15 ML.
