Natafine Eye Drops are used to treat fungal infections of the eye, including fungal blepharitis (infection of the eyelid), fungal conjunctivitis (infection of the clear membrane covering the white part of the eye), and fungal keratitis (infection of the cornea). They help relieve symptoms such as eye pain, redness, blurred vision, light sensitivity, and watering or discharge from the eye. It contains natamycin.
It belongs to a class of medicines called antifungals, which act against the fungus causing the infection. Use the drops exactly as directed by your doctor, and continue using them for the full course prescribed, even if your eyes start to feel better, so that the infection clears completely.
Avoid touching the dropper tip to your eye or any surface, as this can contaminate the drops. Wash your hands before and after use, and avoid wearing contact lenses during treatment unless your doctor advises otherwise.
Before using this medicine, tell your doctor about any other eye conditions or medicines you are using, including other eye drops. If you notice worsening eye pain, vision changes, or increased redness, contact your doctor promptly. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before use.
