Momgiva Cream 10Gm

Momgiva Cream 10gm is used to manage inflammatory skin conditions that respond to corticosteroid treatment.

Uses of Momgiva Cream 10gm are:

• Atopic dermatitis (eczema): This medicine helps manage the inflammation, redness and itching that occur during eczema flares on your skin.

• Psoriasis: This medicine helps reduce redness, inflammation and itching associated with suitable localised psoriatic lesions. It should not be used for widespread plaque psoriasis unless specifically directed by a specialist.

• Other corticosteroid-responsive skin conditions: This cream relieves the inflammation and itching of various skin conditions that respond to topical corticosteroids (steroid medicines applied to the skin).

Apply Momgiva Cream 10gm as suggested below:

• Before application, ensure that the affected skin area is clean and dry.

• Gently clean the affected area with water or a mild, fragrance-free cleanser if needed, and pat the skin dry before applying a thin layer of the cream.

• Apply a thin film of the cream to the affected area using your fingertip.

• Gently smooth the cream into your skin.

• Wash your hands after applying the cream, unless your hands are the area being treated.

• Do not cover the treated area with a bandage or dressing unless your doctor advises this.

Momgiva Cream 10gm is applied topically.

Momgiva Cream 10gm contains mometasone furoate (0.1%), which works on the body as follows:

• Induces anti-inflammatory proteins: This medicine triggers the production of proteins called lipocortins (also known as annexins) inside skin cells. These proteins help to reduce inflammation by blocking certain chemical processes in the body.

• Inhibits phospholipase A2: The lipocortins block an enzyme called phospholipase A2, which normally releases arachidonic acid (a fatty substance) from cell membranes. By stopping this enzyme, the medicine reduces the formation of inflammatory chemicals such as prostaglandins (substances that cause pain and swelling) and leukotrienes (substances involved in allergic reactions).

• Constricts blood vessels: This medicine narrows small blood vessels in the skin (a process called vasoconstriction), which reduces redness and swelling in the affected areas.

• Relieves itching: Through these combined anti-inflammatory effects, this medicine dampens the local allergic and inflammatory response in the skin, providing relief from itching and discomfort.

• Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct heat, sunlight and moisture.

• Keep the tube tightly closed in its original packaging.

• Do not freeze the cream.

• Keep out of reach and sight of children.

• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack.

• Stay adequately hydrated and maintain a balanced diet to support overall skin health during treatment.

• Protect treated skin from unnecessary irritation by avoiding harsh soaps and excessive rubbing or scratching of affected areas.
