MACDERM NF CREAM 15GM is used to:

• Treat inflamed skin infections involving bacterial and fungal organisms, including mixed infections
• Manage infected inflammatory dermatoses with secondary microbial involvement
• Treat fungal skin infections complicated by bacterial infection
• Reduce redness, swelling, itching, and infection in mixed skin infections
• Helps control infection and inflammation, allowing natural healing 

Follow these instructions while using MACDERM NF CREAM 15GM:

• Apply the cream exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
• Clean and gently dry the affected area before application.
• Apply a thin layer over the affected skin and surrounding margins.
• Wash your hands before and after application unless treating the hands.
• Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, or large, deep, or severely damaged wounds unless advised by your doctor.
• Do not cover the treated area with airtight dressings unless advised.

MACDERM NF CREAM 15GM is applied topically.

MACDERM NF CREAM 15GM contains the following components:

• Ciprofloxacin (1%): It is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV enzymes required for bacterial DNA replication and repair. This action prevents bacterial multiplication and leads to bacterial cell death, helping control susceptible bacterial skin infections.
• Clobetasol propionate (0.05%): This is a potent topical corticosteroid that suppresses inflammatory responses in the skin by reducing the release of inflammatory mediators and immune cell activity. This reduces redness, swelling, itching, and discomfort associated with inflamed skin conditions.
• Metronidazole (2%): This acts against anaerobic bacteria and certain protozoa by undergoing intracellular reduction within susceptible organisms, producing reactive metabolites that damage microbial DNA and inhibit nucleic acid synthesis, leading to microbial cell death. It helps control anaerobic bacterial components that may contribute to mixed skin infections.
• Terbinafine (1%): This inhibits squalene epoxidase, an enzyme essential for ergosterol synthesis in fungal cell membranes. This leads to toxic accumulation of squalene within fungal cells and results in fungal cell death, helping eliminate dermatophyte and other fungal infections.

• Store MACDERM NF CREAM 15GM at room temperature away from heat and direct sunlight.
• Keep the container tightly closed after each use.
• Store in a dry place away from moisture.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Do not use it after the expiry date.

• Wear loose, breathable clothing, preferably cotton fabrics, to reduce sweating and friction that may worsen irritation or infection in affected areas.
• Change clothing, towels, and undergarments regularly, particularly if infection affects areas prone to sweating, to prevent reinfection or spread.
• Maintain balanced nutrition and adequate hydration, as proper diet and fluid intake support immune function and skin repair during recovery from infection.
• Follow proper hygiene practices, including washing hands after touching infected areas, to prevent spreading infection to other body parts or people.
