Lubowel 24 Capsule is used for managing chronic idiopathic constipation in adults, assisting women aged 18 years and above with irritable bowel syndrome associated with constipation (IBS-C), and easing opioid-induced constipation in adults dealing with chronic non-cancer pain.

Here's how to take Lubowel 24 Capsule :

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.
• Do not break or chew the capsule.
• Ensure you take this medicine along with your meals.

Lubowel 24 Capsule is taken orally.

Lubowel 24 Capsule contains lubiprostone (24 mcg), which works on your body through the following mechanisms:

• Activation of Chloride Channels: Lubiprostone selectively activates ClC-2 chloride channels present on the surface of cells lining your small intestine. This process enhances fluid secretion into the intestine.
• Increase in Intestinal Fluid Secretion: With an increased secretion of intestinal fluid, your stool softens and its passage through the intestine becomes easier. This action helps alleviate constipation and associated symptoms.
• Promotion of Bowel Movements: The overall effect of these activities leads to an increase in spontaneous bowel movements which significantly reduces the discomfort associated with chronic idiopathic constipation and IBS-C.

• Store Lubowel 24 Capsule at a temperature not exceeding 25°C.
• Keep it in a dry place, away from light and moisture.
