CompositionItrazole 200 Capsule is used to treat a wide range of fungal infections affecting the fingernails, toenails, mouth (thrush), throat, lungs, skin and genital area. It is also used for certain systemic fungal infections that affect internal organs.
It contains itraconazole, an antifungal. It works by stopping the fungus from making ergosterol, a key part of its cell membrane, which stops the fungus from growing and clears the infection.
Take the capsule exactly as directed, usually with a full meal for the best absorption, and complete the full course even if symptoms disappear.
Tell your doctor about any history of heart failure or liver disease before starting, as this medicine may need monitoring. Report any yellowing of the skin or eyes, unusual tiredness or blurred vision at once.
