Indomethacin (75 Mg) + Omeprazole (20 Mg)

Indopra Capsule 10 is used to relieve pain and inflammation while reducing the risk of stomach irritation associated with NSAID therapy. It is a combination medicine that belongs to the classes of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and proton pump inhibitors (PPIs).

This medicine helps manage pain, swelling, and discomfort caused by conditions such as arthritis, musculoskeletal disorders, and other inflammatory conditions, while reducing the risk of stomach ulcers or irritation caused by NSAID therapy.

Take it exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Inform your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems, gastrointestinal disorders, or any other medical conditions, or if you are taking other medicines.

Indopra Capsule 10 is used to:

Reduce pain and inflammation in conditions such as arthritis, musculoskeletal disorders, and joint pain.
Relieve acute pain caused by injury or inflammation.
Reduce the risk of stomach irritation or ulcers associated with NSAID use.

Follow these instructions while taking Indopra Capsule 10:

Take the capsule exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
Swallow the capsule whole with water; do not crush, break, or chew.
Take it after meals to reduce the risk of stomach upset.
Take at the same time each day for consistent effects.
Follow the full course prescribed, even if symptoms improve early.

Indopra Capsule 10 may cause side effects, such as:

Stomach pain or discomfort
Nausea or vomiting
Heartburn or indigestion
Headache
Dizziness
Mild rash

Management Of Side Effects:

Most side effects of Indopra Capsule 10 are mild and often improve as your body adjusts. If any symptom becomes severe or persistent, contact your doctor.

Tips to manage common side effects:

Stomach discomfort or heartburn: Take the capsule with food and avoid lying down immediately after taking it.
Nausea or vomiting: Drink water, eat small meals, and avoid greasy or spicy foods.

Indopra Capsule 10 contains the following components:

Indomethacin (75 mg): This is an NSAID that blocks cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, reducing prostaglandin production in the body. Prostaglandins are chemicals that cause pain, inflammation, and swelling. By lowering prostaglandin levels, Indomethacin relieves pain, reduces inflammation, and improves joint and muscle function.
Omeprazole (20 mg): This is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces acid production in the stomach. By lowering stomach acidity, it protects the stomach lining from irritation and ulcers that may be caused by NSAID use. This ensures safer long-term treatment with Indomethacin.

Pregnancy

Indopra Capsule 10 should only be used during pregnancy if clearly prescribed by a doctor, as NSAIDs may affect fetal development, especially in the third trimester. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.

Breastfeeding

Consult your doctor before taking Indopra Capsule 10 while breastfeeding. Some ingredients may pass into breast milk, and your doctor will determine whether it is safe for your baby.

Alcohol

Alcohol may increase the risk of stomach irritation, heartburn, or bleeding while taking Indopra Capsule 10. Limiting or avoiding alcohol can help reduce these risks.

Liver

Inform your doctor if you have liver problems. Liver function affects how the medicine is metabolised, and monitoring may be required to prevent side effects.

Kidney

Use In Driving And Operating Machinery

Allergy

Do not take Indopra Capsule 10 if you are allergic to indomethacin, omeprazole, or any other components. Signs of an allergic reaction include rash, swelling, or difficulty breathing. Seek immediate medical attention if these occur.

Children

Indopra Capsule 10 should not be used in children and adolescents under 18 years unless specifically prescribed and monitored by a doctor.

Older Patients

Drug-Drug Interactions

Other acid-reducing medicines (e.g., PPIs, H2 blockers): Using multiple acid-suppressing medicines together is usually unnecessary and should only be done if advised by a doctor.
Corticosteroids (such as prednisolone, dexamethasone, hydrocortisone): Using corticosteroids with indomethacin may increase the risk of gastrointestinal irritation, ulcers, or bleeding. Caution is advised, especially with prolonged use or in people with a history of stomach ulcers.

Daily Dose

The daily dose of Indopra Capsule 10 should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Dosage may vary based on the severity of pain and inflammation, as well as individual response. Do not exceed the prescribed dose.

Over Dose

Taking more than prescribed may increase the risk of stomach irritation, dizziness, nausea, or kidney problems. Seek medical help immediately if an overdose is suspected.

Missed Dose
