Hhlevo-M Kid Tablet is used for managing the following health conditions:

• Seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis: This refers to inflammation in the nose due to allergies, causing symptoms like sneezing, itching, and a blocked or runny nose.

• Allergic skin conditions: These include various problems like urticaria (also known as hives, leading to red, itchy bumps on the skin) and atopic dermatitis (a type of eczema causing dry, itchy skin).

• Hay fever: This is an allergic reaction to pollen, typically causing cold-like symptoms such as a runny nose, sneezing, and eye irritation.

Here are some simple steps to give Hhlevo-M Kid Tablet to your child:

• Place the tablet on your child's tongue.

• Allow it to disintegrate before your child swallows it.

• The medicine can be given with or without food.

• Do not exceed the recommended dose unless advised by your doctor.

• In case of any doubts or questions about how to use this medicine, consult your doctor.

Hhlevo-M Kid Tablet is given orally.

Hhlevo-M Kid Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Levocetirizine (2.5 mg): This component belongs to a group of medicines called 'antihistamines.' Its job is to block the action of histamine, a chemical released during an allergic reaction that causes symptoms like sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and a runny nose. In simple terms, it helps reduce allergy symptoms.

• Montelukast (4 mg): This ingredient is known as a 'leukotriene receptor antagonist.' It works by blocking another type of chemical messenger called leukotrienes at certain receptors in the lungs and bronchial tubes. Leukotrienes cause bronchoconstriction (narrowing of airways) and inflammation during an allergic reaction; montelukast impedes these actions.

Together, levocetirizine and montelukast provide a comprehensive approach to managing allergies by addressing both the histamine and leukotriene pathways involved in allergic reactions. This dual action results in effective relief for your child from various allergy symptoms.

• Store Hhlevo-M Kid Tablet at room temperature, ideally between 20°C to 25°C.

• Protect the medicine from moisture and light.

• Keep it well out of reach of children.

• Always check the expiry date before giving your child the medicine.

• If your child suffers from allergies, try to identify potential allergens in their diet and environment, and avoid them as much as possible. Common food allergens include dairy, eggs, fish, shellfish, wheat, soy, peanuts, and tree nuts.

• Encourage your child to wear sunglasses during high pollen season to protect their eyes from allergens and reduce symptoms of hay fever.
