Gramodox Capsule 10

GRAMODOX CAPSULE 10 is used to treat susceptible bacterial infections while supporting gut health during antibiotic treatment.

Uses of GRAMODOX CAPSULE 10 are:

•  Respiratory and ENT Infections: Helps treat susceptible bacterial infections of the lungs, throat, sinuses, and airways, including pneumonia and bronchitis.
•  Urinary and Intestinal Infections: Helps treat susceptible bacterial infections of the urinary tract and intestines.
•  Certain Sexually Transmitted Infections: May be prescribed for certain sexually transmitted bacterial infections as advised by your doctor.
•  Gut Health Support: The Lactobacillus component helps maintain healthy gut bacteria during antibiotic treatment and may help reduce the risk of antibiotic-associated diarrhoea.

To use GRAMODOX CAPSULE 10 properly, follow these steps:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush or chew the capsule.
• Always complete the entire course as prescribed by your doctor, even if symptoms improve.

GRAMODOX CAPSULE 10 is taken orally.

GRAMODOX CAPSULE 10 comprises two active ingredients:

• Doxycycline (100 mg): This antibiotic accumulates within the bacteria, attaches itself to a specific part of the bacterial ribosome known as the 30S subunit and stops bacterial protein synthesis. This action inhibits the growth and multiplication of bacteria, effectively controlling the infection.
• Lactobacillus (5 B): Lactobacillus, being a probiotic, helps restore the natural balance of gut flora. It aids in breaking down food, which leads to the production of lactic acid and other substances that make the gut environment less favourable for harmful bacteria. This healthy balance of gut flora aids in managing antibiotic-associated diarrhoea.

• Store the GRAMODOX CAPSULE 10 in a cool, dry place where the temperature is below 25 degrees Celsius.
• Ensure it's well-protected from direct sunlight and moisture, which can damage the medication.
• Always keep GRAMODOX CAPSULE 10 out of children's reach to prevent accidental consumption.
• Check the expiration date on the packaging and make sure you use the medicine before it expires.

• When managing bacterial infections, it's beneficial to maintain a balanced diet rich in vitamins and minerals to support your immune system. Include plenty of fruits and vegetables in your meals.
• Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water or fruit juices, especially if you are managing antibiotic-associated diarrhoea. This helps replace lost fluids and prevents dehydration.
