GLOBRIM 0.15 % EYE DROPS 5 ML are used for the following:

• Lowering high pressure inside the eye

• Managing open-angle glaucoma

• Treating ocular hypertension

• Preventing optic nerve damage

• Reducing risk of vision loss from glaucoma

• Slowing progression of glaucoma-related damage

• Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water.

• Tilt your head back and gently pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pocket.

• Hold the dropper above your eye without touching any surface.

• Squeeze one drop into the pocket created by your lower eyelid.

• Close your eyes for 2-3 minutes and press gently on the inner corner.

• Wait at least 5 minutes before using any other eye drops.

• Replace the cap immediately after use.

GLOBRIM 0.15 % EYE DROPS 5 ML are instiled topically.

GLOBRIM 0.15 % EYE DROPS 5 ML contain brimonidine (0.15%), which works on the eye in the following ways:

• Decreases Aqueous Humour Production: Brimonidine activates alpha-2 receptors in the ciliary body of your eye. This action reduces the production of aqueous humour, which is the clear fluid that fills the front part of your eye.

• Increases Fluid Drainage: It improves what doctors call the 'uveoscleral outflow', allowing more fluid to exit your eye through alternative drainage pathways. This helps to further reduce pressure inside the eye.

• Dual Action Mechanism: By both decreasing fluid production and increasing drainage, brimonidine effectively lowers intraocular pressure, which is the main risk factor for optic nerve damage in patients with glaucoma.

• Neuroprotective Effects: Beyond lowering eye pressure, brimonidine may directly protect the nerve cells in your retina from damage, providing additional benefit for your eye health.

• Store at room temperature not exceeding 25°C.

• Keep the bottle tightly closed and protect it from light and moisture.

• Do not freeze the eye drops.

• Keep out of reach of children.

• Discard any unused solution 28 days after opening the bottle.

• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the packaging.

• Maintain a healthy diet rich in antioxidants (like green leafy vegetables and colourful fruits), which may help support overall eye health and potentially slow the progression of conditions like glaucoma.

• Frequent screen use can strain your eyes and potentially worsen eye discomfort. Take a 5-minute break every hour to rest your eyes.
