Glisimet M2 Tablet 14

GLISIMET M2 Tablet is used in the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults to control blood sugar levels and reduce the risk of long-term diabetes complications.

Uses of GLISIMET M2 Tablet are:

• Type 2 Diabetes Control: Helps manage and lower blood sugar levels in adults when monotherapy is not sufficient.
• Glycemic Stability: Helps maintain steadier blood sugar levels throughout the day with its sustained-release formulation.
• Prevention of Complications: Reduces the risk of long-term complications such as kidney damage, nerve impairment, and vision loss.

• Take Glisimet M2 Tablet 14 exactly as prescribed by your doctor, with a meal (usually breakfast or your first main meal).
• Swallow the tablet whole with water. Do not crush or chew it.
• Do not skip meals while taking this medicine, as this may increase the risk of low blood sugar.
• Do not change the dose or stop the medicine on your own. Always talk to your doctor first.

Glisimet M2 Tablet 14 is taken by mouth (orally).

Glisimet M2 Tablet 14 combines two diabetes medicines, Glimepiride 2 mg and Metformin 500 mg:

• Glimepiride (2 mg) helps your pancreas release more insulin.
• Metformin (500 mg) lowers the sugar your liver makes, reduces the sugar absorbed from food, and helps your body use insulin better.

Together, they help control blood sugar levels.

• Store Glisimet M2 Tablet 14 below 25°C, in a dry place away from light and moisture.
• Keep it out of the reach of children.
• Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.
• Return any unused or expired medicine to your pharmacist for safe disposal.

• Eat balanced, regular meals that are low in sugar and high in fibre. Do not skip meals.
• Be active. Regular walking or cycling improves how your body uses insulin.
• Maintain a healthy weight, limit alcohol consumption and monitor your blood sugar as advised by your doctor.
