Glimiprime M2 Tablet is used to manage type 2 diabetes. It is a combination antidiabetic medicine containing glimepiride (a sulphonylurea) and metformin (a biguanide).
This medicine helps lower blood sugar and keep it steady through the day in adults with type 2 diabetes, which may help reduce the risk of long-term kidney, nerve and vision problems. Take it with food in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor, and continue it even when you feel well.
Keep to regular meal times and do not skip meals. Eat controlled portions of rice, roti and sweets, and add vegetables, dal and salads. Regular walking or other physical activity supports blood sugar control alongside this medicine.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Learn the signs of low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia), such as sweating, shakiness or confusion, and keep a quick source of sugar with you. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
