Glibimide M 2.5/400 Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus
• Control of blood glucose levels
• Supporting inadequate response to single diabetes medicine
• Complementing lifestyle modifications in diabetes

• Reducing glucose production by the liver

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

Glibimide M 2.5/400 Tablet 10 contains two active ingredients:

• Glibenclamide (2.5 mg): This component belongs to the sulfonylurea class and works by stimulating insulin secretion from the pancreas. It binds to specific potassium channels in pancreatic beta cells, causing cell membrane changes that trigger insulin release.
• Metformin (400 mg): As a biguanide medicine, metformin decreases glucose production by the liver. It also improves insulin sensitivity by increasing glucose uptake and utilisation in peripheral tissues, helping your body use insulin more effectively.
