Geripan Dsr 30/40 Mg Tablet 10

Geripan-DSR Tablet is used for gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, known as GERD, a condition where stomach acid flows back into the food pipe, causing heartburn and discomfort.

Uses of Geripan-DSR Tablet are:

• GERD: Manages the backflow of stomach acid into the food pipe, relieving heartburn and discomfort.

To use Geripan-DSR Tablet, please follow these instructions:

• Swallow the tablet whole with water

• Avoid breaking, crushing or chewing it

• Always take this medicine before eating a meal

• Follow your doctor's instructions regarding how long you need to continue this medication

• If you have any questions about taking this medication, it's best to consult your doctor

Geripan-DSR Tablet is taken orally.

Geripan-DSR Tablet contains two active components:

• Pantoprazole (40 mg): Classified as a proton pump inhibitor, pantoprazole reduces stomach acid production by blocking an enzyme system called hydrogen/potassium adenosine triphosphatase (H+/K+ ATPase, or proton pump) in gastric parietal cells. This action helps control GERD symptoms and promotes the healing of erosive oesophagitis.

• Domperidone (30 mg): As a dopamine antagonist, domperidone helps food move more easily through your digestive system. It prevents acid reflux by reducing relaxation of the lower oesophageal sphincter and suppresses nausea by acting on the chemoreceptor trigger zone in the brain.

• Store Geripan-DSR Tablet in a cool, dry place, ideally at room temperature below 25°C.

• Please keep away from direct sunlight and moisture to maintain its effectiveness.

• Ensure the medicine is kept out of reach of children and pets for their safety.

• For those managing gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), acid reflux, or indigestion with Geripan-DSR Tablet, avoid food and drinks that trigger heartburn, like fatty or fried foods, tomato sauce, alcohol, chocolate, mint, garlic, onion, and caffeine.

• Regular light exercise can help improve digestion and reduce symptoms. Move around more during the day and avoid sitting or lying down immediately after meals.
