GEMITROL KIT 1 TABLET & 6 CAPSULE is used to manage osteoporosis, calcium deficiency, vitamin D deficiency, and weak or brittle bones. It is a combination medicine that belongs to the class of bisphosphonates, calcium supplements, vitamin D analogues, and mineral supplements.

This medicine helps improve bone strength, support calcium absorption, reduce bone loss, and lower the risk of fractures in individuals with osteoporosis and other bone-related conditions.

Follow these instructions while taking GEMITROL KIT 1 TABLET & 6 CAPSULE:

Take the medicines exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
Swallow the tablet and capsules whole with water.
Do not crush, chew, or break them.
Risedronate tablet should usually be taken on an empty stomach with a full glass of water.
Remain upright for at least 30 minutes after taking the risedronate tablet.
Calcium and vitamin D capsules should be taken as advised by your doctor.

GEMITROL KIT 1 TABLET & 6 CAPSULE is taken orally.

GEMITROL KIT 1 TABLET & 6 CAPSULE may cause side effects such as:

Stomach pain
Nausea
Constipation
Heartburn
Bone or muscle pain
Diarrhoea

Management Of Side Effects:

Most side effects are temporary and generally harmless, which resolve on discontinuing GEMITROL KIT 1 TABLET & 6 CAPSULE. However, if you experience any serious side effects or worsening of symptoms, consult your doctor.

Constipation: Drinking adequate water and increasing fibre intake may help improve bowel movements.
Heartburn: Remaining upright after taking the risedronate tablet may help reduce irritation in the food pipe.

GEMITROL KIT 1 TABLET & 6 CAPSULE contains the following active ingredients:

Calcitriol (0.25 mcg): It is a form of vitamin D that helps increase the absorption of calcium from the intestine and supports proper calcium balance in the body. It also helps maintain healthy bones and supports bone mineralisation, especially in individuals with vitamin D deficiency or osteoporosis.
Elemental Calcium (200 mg): Calcium is an essential mineral required for maintaining strong bones and teeth. It helps improve bone density and supports normal muscle and nerve function.
Risedronate (35 mg): It is a bisphosphonate medicine that helps slow down bone breakdown by reducing the activity of cells responsible for bone loss. This helps improve bone strength, maintain bone density, and lower the risk of fractures in patients with osteoporosis.
Zinc (7.5 mg): Zinc is an important mineral that supports bone metabolism and tissue repair. It also helps support normal immune function and contributes to healthy bone formation and maintenance.

Pregnancy

Breastfeeding

Over Dose

Missed Dose

If you miss a dose of GEMITROL KIT 1 TABLET & 6 CAPSULE, take it as soon as you remember. If it is nearly time for your next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. Do not take two doses together to compensate for the missed dose.
