Fexodine 120 Tablet is used for managing the following conditions:

• Allergic rhinitis, a condition causing symptoms like an itchy or runny nose and watery eyes due to allergies.

• Various allergic skin conditions, such as urticaria (also known as hives) and dermatitis where it helps in reducing itching, redness, and swelling.

• Conjunctivitis, which is inflammation of the eye due to allergies, leading to redness, itchiness, and watering of the eyes.

• Allergic reactions caused by insect bites or stings and certain food allergens.

Here's how you should take Fexodine 120 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Avoid chewing, crushing or breaking it.

• You can take this medicine with or without food.

• If you're taking antacids containing aluminium or magnesium, ensure there's at least a two-hour gap before or after taking Fexodine to prevent reduced absorption.

• Always consult your doctor for further advice on how to use this medication correctly.

Fexodine 120 Tablet contains fexofenadine (120 mg) which works on the body as follows:

• Antagonises H1 receptors: Fexofenadine works by selectively blocking peripheral histamine H1 receptors in your body. These receptors play a crucial role in producing allergy symptoms when they interact with histamine.

• Reduces Inflammatory Symptoms: By blocking the effects of histamine, fexofenadine effectively reduces the inflammatory symptoms associated with allergies.

• Inhibits Bronchospasm and Histamine Release: Fexofenadine thwarts antigen-induced bronchospasm and curbs the release of histamine from mast cells, thus mitigating allergy manifestations.

• Ensure the medicine is out of reach of children to prevent accidental ingestion.
