Euroglip 2 MG Tablet 10 is a medicine used to manage high blood sugar levels in adults with type 2 diabetes. It supports the prevention of long-term diabetes complications such as kidney damage, eye problems, nerve damage, and cardiovascular issues that can develop when blood sugar is poorly controlled.
It contains glimepiride, a sulfonylurea. It is usually taken just before or with the first main meal of the day. Take it at the same time each day for steady control. Continue taking it regularly to keep blood sugar levels under control, and never skip meals while on this medicine, as this increases the risk of low blood sugar.
Lifestyle changes form an important part of managing type 2 diabetes alongside this medicine. These include eating balanced meals at regular times, exercising regularly, maintaining a healthy weight, avoiding sugary drinks, and limiting alcohol intake. Avoid prolonged sun exposure when starting the medicine and use sunscreen, as it can occasionally increase skin sensitivity to sunlight.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any kidney or liver problems, a history of low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia), or are taking other medicines. Carry a sugary snack with you in case of sudden low blood sugar. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before use.
