Esoforge D Capsule 10

Esoforge D Capsule 10 may interact with the following medicines:

• Medicines that affect heart rhythm (such as amiodarone, sotalol, certain antibiotics like erythromycin): Esoforge D Capsule 10 may increase the risk of abnormal heart rhythms when taken together with these medicines. Combined use may require avoidance or close medical monitoring.
• Strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (such as ketoconazole, clarithromycin, itraconazole): These medicines can increase domperidone levels present in the body, raising the risk of heart rhythm disturbances and other side effects. This combination is generally avoided.
• Other acid-suppressing medicines (such as other PPIs or H2 blockers): Taking multiple acid-reducing medicines together may not provide additional benefit and can increase the risk of side effects. Use together only if advised.
• Other medicines that prolong the QT interval (such as certain antipsychotics, antidepressants, or antiarrhythmics): Using these together with Esoforge D Capsule 10 may significantly increase the risk of serious heart rhythm disturbances and should generally be avoided.
• Medicines whose absorption depends on stomach acid (such as ketoconazole, itraconazole, or atazanavir): Esomeprazole can reduce stomach acid, which may decrease the absorption and effectiveness of these medicines. Dose timing or alternative treatment may be required.

Esoforge D Capsule 10 should be used with caution in the following conditions:

• Heart rhythm disorders (such as QT prolongation): Domperidone may increase the risk of abnormal heart rhythms. People with existing rhythm disorders or a history of heart rhythm problems should take this medicine only under medical supervision.
• Severe liver disease: The medicine is processed by the liver. Reduced liver function may lead to higher medicine levels in the body and increase the risk of side effects.
• Gastrointestinal bleeding, obstruction, or perforation: This medicine should not be used in these conditions, as increasing stomach movement may worsen symptoms or lead to complications.
• Osteoporosis or risk of bone fractures (long-term use): Prolonged use of acid-suppressing medicines like esomeprazole may affect calcium absorption and bone strength. Bone health monitoring may be considered in long-term therapy.
• Electrolyte imbalances (such as low magnesium levels): Long-term use of proton pump inhibitors such as esomeprazole may contribute to low magnesium levels.

The daily dose of Esoforge D Capsule 10 should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor. The dose and duration depend on the severity of acid reflux or digestive symptoms and how well you respond to treatment. It should be taken as advised and not more frequently than prescribed. 

Taking more than the prescribed dose of Esoforge D Capsule 10 may cause symptoms such as dizziness, irregular or fast heartbeat, confusion, stomach discomfort, or excessive drowsiness. If an overdose is suspected, seek medical attention immediately.

If you miss a dose of Esoforge D Capsule 10, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed one, as this may increase the risk of side effects.
