Dycerin GM Tablet is used to relieve the pain, stiffness and swelling of osteoarthritis, particularly of the knee and hip, and to help improve joint movement. It is a combination medicine containing glucosamine, diacerein and methylsulfonylmethane (MSM), and belongs to a group of medicines used for joint health and osteoarthritis.
This is a slow-acting treatment, so the benefit builds up gradually over weeks. Take it with food as prescribed, and continue it for the period advised. Use the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor.
Maintaining a healthy weight and doing gentle, low-impact exercise such as walking or swimming can help improve joint movement alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor if you have diabetes, as glucosamine can affect blood sugar, or a shellfish allergy before starting this medicine, and about any other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Speak to your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding. Report persistent loose motions or stomach pain, and report any side effects that persist or become serious. Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
