Durasal Breathaler 100 MCG Inhaler 17 GM is used for the following:

• Relief of bronchospasm in asthma

Follow these instructions while using Durasal Breathaler 100 MCG Inhaler 17 GM:

• Shake the inhaler well before each use.

• Remove the cap from the mouthpiece.

• Breathe out fully before placing the mouthpiece in your mouth.

• Close your lips around the mouthpiece.

• Press down on the canister while breathing in deeply and slowly.

• Hold your breath for 10 seconds to allow the medicine to reach your lungs.

• Wait at least one minute before taking a second puff if needed.

• Replace the cap after use.

• Rinse your mouth with water after using the inhaler.

Durasal Breathaler 100 MCG Inhaler 17 GM contains salbutamol (100 mcg), which works on the body as follows:

• Beta-2 receptor activation: Salbutamol selectively binds to beta-2 receptors found in the lungs, triggering a series of chemical reactions that help relax the muscles around your airways.

• Smooth muscle relaxation: By increasing levels of a substance called cyclic AMP in the airway muscles, salbutamol causes these muscles to relax, which widens the airways and makes breathing easier.

• Bronchodilation: The relaxation of airway muscles leads to bronchodilation (opening up of the airways), allowing more air to flow in and out of the lungs and relieving symptoms like wheezing and shortness of breath.

• Rapid action: Salbutamol begins working within 5-15 minutes after inhalation, with its effects typically lasting 3-6 hours, providing quick relief from breathing difficulties.
