Drep New Ear Drops 5ml

Drep New Ear Drops is used for managing the following conditions:

• Control of acute and chronic otitis externa, a condition commonly known as swimmer's ear, which involves infection and inflammation of the outer ear.

• Management of otitis media, which is an infection or inflammation of the middle ear.

• Reduction in discomfort related to bacterial and fungal ear infections, by tackling associated symptoms such as pain, swelling and itching.

• Alleviation of discharge from the ear linked with infections due to bacteria or fungi.

Follow these instructions while using Drep New Ear Drops :

• Make sure your hands are clean before handling the bottle.

• Lie down with the affected ear facing upward.

• Administer the drops into your ear without allowing the dropper to touch your ear or any other surface.

• Remain in this position for at least 5 minutes to allow the medicine to penetrate effectively.

• Repeat these steps if both ears are affected.

• Always consult your doctor for specific instructions related to duration and frequency of usage.

Drep New Ear Drops are administered into the ear.

Drep New Ear Drops contains four active ingredients that work together to manage ear infections:

• Neomycin (0.5%): This aminoglycoside antibiotic is effective against a wide range of bacteria that cause ear infections. It works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis.

• Beclomethasone dipropionate (0.025%): This potent corticosteroid reduces inflammation in the ear by inhibiting the release of chemicals in the body that cause inflammation.

• Clotrimazole (1%): This antifungal agent disrupts the cell membranes of fungi, inhibiting their growth. It acts against common causes of fungal ear infections such as Candida and Aspergillus species.

• Lidocaine/Lignocaine (2%): This local anaesthetic works by blocking pain signals from nerves to the brain. It provides rapid relief from pain in the infected ear by numbing the area.

• Store Drep New Ear Drops at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.

• Keep the product away from excessive light and moisture.

• Ensure the dropper does not come into contact with the ear or any other surface to prevent contamination.

• Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.

• Always check the expiry date and use the medicine before it.

• Regularly clean your ears with a gentle, non-alcohol-based solution to prevent potential infections, which Drep New Ear Drops are used to manage. However, avoid inserting cotton swabs or any other objects into your ears, as this may cause damage.

• Avoid swimming or diving activities while having an ear infection. The bacteria in the water might worsen your condition.
