Doxovent M 400/10 MG Tablet 10

Doxovent M Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing and preventing asthma attacks

• Providing relief from allergy-related respiratory issues

• Facilitating easier inhalation and exhalation

• Minimising the occurrence and severity of asthma symptoms

• Prophylactic use before exposure to common asthma triggers such as exercise, house dust, pollen, pet dander, and cigarette smoke.

• Swallow the tablet whole without chewing, crushing, or breaking it.

• The medicine can be taken either with or without food.

• It is recommended to take the tablet at the same time each day.

• Do not stop taking this medicine abruptly; always consult your doctor first.

Doxovent M Tablet is taken orally.

Doxovent M Tablet contains two active ingredients that work together to manage asthma symptoms:

• Doxofylline (400 mg): This ingredient acts as a bronchodilator. It works by relaxing the smooth muscles of your airways. It does this by inhibiting certain enzymes in your body, leading to an increase in certain substances that promote muscle relaxation and reduce inflammation in the respiratory tract.

• Montelukast (10 mg): Montelukast is a leukotriene receptor antagonist. In simple terms, it blocks the action of substances called leukotrienes that cause inflammation during an asthma attack. By preventing these substances from causing inflammation and constriction of the airways, montelukast helps maintain open airways and reduces the frequency and intensity of asthma symptoms.

• Store the medicine in a dry place, away from light and moisture.

• Ensure it is safely out of reach of children.
