It contains deflazacort, which belongs to the corticosteroid class of medicines. Take it with food as prescribed. Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly, as your dose needs to be reduced gradually under your doctor's supervision to prevent withdrawal symptoms.
Lifestyle and dietary support are essential during corticosteroid treatment. Adequate intake of calcium and vitamin D, regular low-impact weight-bearing exercise, and a balanced diet with controlled salt and sugar help protect bone health and manage weight changes.
Before starting treatment, tell your doctor if you have diabetes, high blood pressure, infections, stomach ulcers, or bone thinning (osteoporosis). Avoid close contact with people who have chickenpox or measles. Speak to your doctor immediately if you notice signs of infection, severe mood changes, or severe stomach pain.
