CYCRAM 1000 MG INJECTION 1 is used to treat certain cancers including lymphomas, leukaemias, multiple myeloma, breast and ovarian cancer, and to manage minimal change nephrotic syndrome in children. It is given by a healthcare professional.

CYCRAM 1000 MG INJECTION 1 contains cyclophosphamide (1000 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• DNA cross-linking: Cyclophosphamide forms links between DNA strands in cancer cells, preventing them from dividing properly and leading to cell death.

• Metabolic activation: The medicine is converted in your liver into active compounds that circulate throughout your body to attack cancer cells.

• Cell division interference: It stops cancer cells from multiplying by damaging their genetic material during the cell division process.

• Immunosuppression: Cyclophosphamide reduces the activity of your immune system, which helps treat conditions in which the immune system attacks the body's own tissues, such as in nephrotic syndrome.

• Store CYCRAM 1000 MG INJECTION 1 in its original packaging.

• Store in a dry place away from direct sunlight.

• Always keep this medicine out of sight and reach of children.

• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date printed on the packaging.

• Drink plenty of fluids (at least 2-3 litres daily) while receiving cyclophosphamide to help flush your bladder and reduce the risk of bladder irritation (cystitis).

• Avoid close contact with people who have infections or those who have recently received live vaccines, as this medicine lowers your immune system's ability to fight infections.
