Coscopin Linctus 100ml

Coscopin Linctus is used for the following:

• Providing relief from dry, irritating cough
• Helping to alleviate chest congestion
• Easing symptoms of allergies that cause coughing and throat discomfort
• Aiding in the reduction of mucus thickness, making it easier to cough up
• Providing symptomatic relief from an itchy throat

Administer Coscopin Linctus as follows:

• Always shake the bottle well before use.
• Coscopin Linctus is to be taken orally, with or without food.
• Space your doses evenly throughout the day, ideally at least 4 hours apart. 
• This medicine is sugar-based and needs caution for use in diabetic patients. If you have diabetes, consult your doctor before taking this medicine.
• Always remember not to exceed 4 doses in a 24-hour period. 
• For specific advice on how best to take this medicine, it's always a good idea to consult your doctor.

Coscopin Linctus is taken orally.

Coscopin Linctus consists of the following components: 

• Chlorpheniramine Maleate (2 mg): It is an antihistamine that obstructs the action of histamine, a chemical produced by the body in reaction to allergens or irritants. Histamine is responsible for causing sneezing, runny nose, and itching. 
• Noscapine (7 mg): It acts as a cough suppressant by reducing the cough reflex in the brain without causing significant sedation. It helps control dry, irritating coughs.
• Ammonium Chloride (28 mg): This component works as an expectorant by irritating the mucus membranes, which leads them to secrete more liquid. This action thins the mucus, making it easier to cough up. Ammonium chloride also has a mild diuretic effect.
• Sodium Citrate (3.25 mg): Sodium citrate is a saline expectorant that provides relief by reducing the viscosity of mucus secretions and promoting oral mucosal hydration. It exhibits soothing properties that help relieve throat irritation.

• Store this medicine in a cool place, ideally below 30 °C.
• Keep the bottle tightly sealed to prevent unnecessary exposure to air.
• Do not store the linctus in direct sunlight, as light can degrade the medicine.
• Always keep this medicine out of reach and sight of children.
• Make sure to use the linctus before the expiry date mentioned on the bottle.

• To manage a cough and respiratory infection, maintain good hydration. Drinking warm liquids like herbal tea or hot water can soothe the throat and keep your body hydrated.
