Cold Best Tablet is used to relieve symptoms of the common cold, such as fever, headache, body ache, a blocked or runny nose, sneezing and watery eyes. It is a combination medicine containing cetirizine (an antihistamine), paracetamol (a pain reliever and fever reducer) and a nasal decongestant.
This medicine is also used to ease similar symptoms caused by nasal allergies such as hay fever. Swallow the tablet with water, in the dose prescribed by your doctor, and use it for the shortest time needed.
Steam inhalation, gargling with warm salt water, drinking plenty of fluids and getting enough rest can help ease cold symptoms.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have high blood pressure, heart disease, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, difficulty passing urine, or liver or kidney disease, and about other medicines you take, especially antidepressants and other cold remedies. Do not take other medicines containing paracetamol at the same time. It is not recommended for children under 12 years of age. It may cause drowsiness, so avoid driving and alcohol. Contact your doctor if symptoms have not improved within 7 days. Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
