Ciptoc 0.3 % Eye/ear Drops 15 ML

Ciptoc 0.3 % Eye/ear Drops 15 ML are used for managing various conditions including:

• Bacterial conjunctivitis resulting from susceptible strains of microorganisms

• Bacterial corneal ulcers caused by susceptible strains of bacteria

• Acute otitis externa, a type of outer ear infection, caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus strains

• Acute otitis media in adults with tympanostomy tubes is an ear condition that often results in hearing loss or damage.

Administer Ciptoc 0.3 % Eye/ear Drops 15 ML as follows:

• Tilt your head backwards and gently pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pocket.

• Hold the dropper above the eye without touching it.

• Squeeze out a drop and close your eye.

• Apply gentle pressure to the inner corner of the eye for about 1 minute to stop the liquid from draining into your tear duct.

• For ear infections, tilt your head so that the infected ear faces upwards. Put the drops in and hold this position for a few minutes to allow the medicine to reach deeper into the ear.

Ciptoc 0.3 % Eye/ear Drops 15 ML are administered topically.

Ciptoc 0.3 % Eye/ear Drops 15 ML contains Ciprofloxacin (0.3 %), and it works on your body in the following ways:

• Inhibits Vital Bacterial Enzymes: Ciprofloxacin functions by inhibiting two critical enzymes in bacteria, namely DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV. These enzymes are vital for bacterial DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination.

• Disruption of Bacterial Growth: Ciprofloxacin disrupts bacterial cell growth by inhibiting these crucial enzymes.

• Leads to Cell Death: The disruption in growth eventually leads to the death of the bacterial cells, thereby helping manage the infection effectively.

• Keep Ciptoc 0.3 % Eye/ear Drops 15 ML at a cool, room temperature between 15°C and 30°C.

• Protect it from exposure to light.

• Make sure the medicine isn't exposed to excess moisture or high heat.

• Always keep Ciptoc 0.3 % Eye/ear Drops 15 ML out of the reach of children.

• Be sure to use Ciptoc 0.3 % Eye/ear Drops 15 ML before its expiry date.
