Cidipine M 10/25 Tablet 10 is used for:

• Managing essential hypertension

• Controlling uncontrolled blood pressure

• Providing comprehensive cardiovascular protection

• Reducing the risk of cardiovascular events

• Lowering peripheral vascular resistance

• Decreasing cardiac output in patients with hypertension

• Reducing myocardial oxygen demand

• Providing 24-hour blood pressure control

• Managing hypertension unresponsive to single medicines

Follow these instructions while taking Cidipine M 10/25 Tablet 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet, as this affects the extended-release mechanism.

• Take it at the same time each day, preferably in the morning.

• You may take this medicine with or without food.

• Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor.

Cidipine M 10/25 Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Cidipine M 10/25 Tablet 10 contains two active ingredients:

• Cilnidipine (10 mg): Acts as a dual L/N-type calcium channel blocker, which prevents calcium from entering the muscle cells of blood vessels. This causes the blood vessels to relax and widen, reducing resistance to blood flow and lowering blood pressure.

• Metoprolol Succinate (25 mg): Functions as a selective beta-1 adrenergic receptor blocker, which means it blocks certain natural chemicals (such as adrenaline) from affecting the heart. This slows down heart rate, reduces the force of heart contractions, and lowers the amount of oxygen the heart needs to work properly.

• Store Cidipine M 10/25 Tablet 10 in a cool, dry place at room temperature below 25°C.

• Keep away from direct sunlight, excessive heat, and moisture.

• Maintain it in its original packaging until use.

• Store out of reach of children and pets.

• Do not use beyond the expiry date printed on the package.

• Dispose of unused medicine properly according to local guidelines.

• Reduce sodium intake by limiting processed foods, canned soups, and table salt, as high sodium consumption can worsen high blood pressure (hypertension) that this medicine helps manage.

• Maintain regular physical activity through moderate exercise, such as brisk walking, for 30 minutes most days, which helps lower blood pressure naturally and enhances the effectiveness of your blood pressure medication.
