CELECAP 100 MG CAPSULE 10 is used to relieve pain and inflammation in adults with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and acute musculoskeletal pain, helping to ease joint pain and stiffness and improve daily activity.

Uses of CELECAP 100 MG CAPSULE 10 are:

• Osteoarthritis: Helps relieve joint pain and inflammation.
• Rheumatoid Arthritis: Helps manage joint pain and stiffness.
• Acute Pain: Helps relieve acute musculoskeletal pain and ankylosing spondylitis pain.

Follow these instructions while taking CELECAP 100 MG CAPSULE 10:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a full glass of water.

• Do not open, crush, or chew the capsule.

• You may take this medicine with or without food.

CELECAP 100 MG CAPSULE 10 is taken orally.

CELECAP 100 MG CAPSULE 10 contains celecoxib (100 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Selective COX-2 Inhibition: Celecoxib specifically blocks the cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) enzyme, which is responsible for producing prostaglandins that cause inflammation, pain and fever in the body.

• Prostaglandin Reduction: By inhibiting the COX-2 enzyme, celecoxib reduces the production of prostaglandins at sites of inflammation, thereby decreasing pain and swelling in affected joints and muscles.

• Protective Gastric Action: Unlike traditional NSAIDs, celecoxib has minimal effect on the COX-1 enzyme, which helps protect the stomach lining, resulting in fewer gastrointestinal side effects.

• Anti-Inflammatory Effect: The medicine decreases the body's inflammatory response in affected tissues, helping to reduce stiffness and improve mobility in conditions like arthritis (condition causing joint pain, swelling, and stiffness).

• Keep at room temperature (below 30°C).

• Store in a dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.
