Cdoxin 50 MG Injection 1 is used for the following:

• Treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukaemia

• Management of acute myeloblastic leukaemia

• Therapy for Hodgkin lymphoma

• Treatment of non-Hodgkin lymphomas

• Management of breast cancer

• Therapy for lung cancer

• Treatment of ovarian cancer

• Management of soft tissue sarcomas

• Therapy for bone sarcomas

• Treatment of neuroblastoma

• Management of Wilms tumour

• Therapy for transitional cell bladder cancer

• Treatment of thyroid cancer

• Management of gastric cancer

Follow these instructions when Cdoxin 50 MG Injection 1 is administered:

• This medicine must only be administered by qualified healthcare professionals in a hospital setting.

• It may be administered as a slow injection or continuous infusion.

• The injection site needs careful monitoring throughout the administration.

• This medicine should not come into contact with your skin.

• Report any unusual sensations at the injection site immediately.

Cdoxin 50 MG Injection 1 is administered intravenously.

Cdoxin 50 MG Injection 1 contains doxorubicin (50 mg), which works in the following ways:

• DNA intercalation: Doxorubicin inserts itself between DNA base pairs, disrupting the double helix structure in cancer cells and preventing them from making new DNA and RNA properly.

• Topoisomerase II inhibition: It blocks an important enzyme called topoisomerase II, which cancer cells need for DNA replication and repair, making it difficult for cancer cells to multiply.

• Cell cycle arrest: The medicine stops cancer cells from progressing through their normal growth cycle, effectively halting their multiplication process.

• Apoptosis induction: Doxorubicin triggers programmed cell death (apoptosis) in cancer cells, causing them to self-destruct rather than continue growing and dividing.

• Store Cdoxin 50 MG Injection 1 in a refrigerator between 2 and 8°C.

• Keep the vial protected from light exposure.

• Do not freeze, as this can damage the medicine.

• Store all medicines out of sight and reach of children.

• Check the expiry date and never use the medicine after this date.

• Stay well-hydrated by drinking plenty of water daily, which may help your body process and eliminate the medicine more efficiently while supporting kidney function during cancer treatment.

• Consume a protein-rich diet with lean meats, eggs, dairy, or plant proteins to help maintain muscle mass and support your immune system during chemotherapy.
