CB-12 Injection is used to treat vitamin B12 and folate deficiency-related anaemia, including pernicious anaemia. It is also effective for neuropathy, delayed wound healing, scurvy, and symptoms like weakness, fatigue, and reduced immunity caused by vitamin deficiencies.

To administer CB-12 Injection correctly, follow these steps:

• The injection is given intramuscularly or slowly into a vein.

• Ensure the area where the injection will be given is clean to prevent infection.

• Always inspect the injection for any particulate matter or discolouration before use.

• Discard if you notice any visible particles or if the liquid is discoloured.

CB-12 Injection is administered via an intramuscular or slow intravenous route.

The CB-12 Injection combines four active ingredients each of which has a unique role:

• Ascorbic Acid (150 mg): Known as Vitamin C, it is essential for collagen synthesis, tyrosine metabolism, and immune function. Its deficiency can lead to scurvy due to impaired collagen formation affecting bones, blood vessels and skin.

• Cyanocobalamin (2.5 mg): This form of Vitamin B12 promotes the development and functioning of the central nervous system, aids in red blood cell formation and contributes to DNA synthesis.

• Folic Acid (0.7 mg): It reduces side effects in patients receiving specific arthritis medications and generally protects against gastrointestinal side effects and liver toxicity.

• Niacinamide (12 mg): This form of Vitamin B3 is essential for cellular energy metabolism and antioxidant functions. It also helps reduce oxidative stress and inflammation in the body.

• Store CB-12 Injection at room temperature, ideally between 15°C to 30°C.

• Shield it from direct light, heat and dampness.

• Ensure it's stored safely, out of the reach of children.

• Include plenty of animal products like fish, meat, poultry, eggs and milk in your diet. These are rich in Vitamin B12, which is essential for maintaining your nervous system and red blood cell health.
