Cadicrit 4000 IU Injection is used for the following:

• Treatment of anaemia in chronic kidney disease

• Managing anaemia caused by chemotherapy

• Addressing anaemia in HIV patients on zidovudine therapy

• Reducing the need for blood transfusions before surgery

• Boosting red blood cell production in pre-donation programmes

• Correcting low haemoglobin levels in dialysis patients

• Stimulating bone marrow to produce more red blood cells

• Managing anaemia when endogenous erythropoietin is insufficient

• Increasing autologous blood collection before surgery

• This medicine must be administered by a trained medical professional.

• The solution should be inspected before use for any particles or discolouration.

• Do not shake the injection vigorously.

• The medicine should be at room temperature before administration.

Cadicrit 4000 IU Injection is administered intravenously or subcutaneously.

Cadicrit 4000 IU Injection contains erythropoietin (4000 IU), which works in your body through several mechanisms:

• Stimulates erythropoiesis: Erythropoietin mimics your body's natural hormone that triggers the production of red blood cells in the bone marrow, a process called erythropoiesis.

• Binds to receptors: It attaches to specific receptors on red blood cell precursors in your bone marrow, activating them to develop into mature cells.

• Promotes cell differentiation: Erythropoietin encourages immature blood cells to develop and mature into functional red blood cells that can carry oxygen throughout your body.
