Buderator Respules is used to manage asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in adults, and to treat croup in infants and children. It is a single-ingredient medicine belonging to the group called corticosteroids, containing budesonide.
This medicine works by reducing inflammation in the airways, which improves breathing over time, and eases symptoms such as wheezing, chest tightness and breathlessness. The liquid is breathed in using a nebuliser as directed by your doctor, used regularly rather than as a reliever for sudden breathlessness.
Quitting smoking, having any recommended vaccinations and following any breathing plan your doctor has given you can help alongside this medicine.
Before starting, tell your doctor about any other medicines you take or ongoing health conditions. Rinse the mouth after each use to reduce throat irritation and the risk of mouth thrush, keep a separate reliever inhaler for sudden breathlessness, and tell your doctor if you need it more often than usual.
