It is a combination medicine containing finasteride, which reduces the hormone effect behind pattern hair loss, and minoxidil, which stimulates hair growth, and belongs to a class of medicines called hair growth promoters.
This medicine works by finasteride lowering the level of dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a hormone that shrinks hair follicles, while minoxidil widens the small blood vessels in the scalp and prolongs the hair growth phase.
