Here's how you should take Binstal 500 MG Tablet 7:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Don't crush, chew or break the tablet.

• Always take the medicine as per your doctor's instructions.

• Don't stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor, even if your symptoms improve.

• If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it's nearly time for your next dose. Never take two doses at once.

Binstal 500 MG Tablet 7 contains Terbinafine (500 mg), which impacts the body as follows:

• Inhibits squalene epoxidase: Terbinafine blocks an enzyme called squalene epoxidase in the body of fungus. This particular enzyme plays a big role in building up an essential component of the fungal cell membrane known as ergosterol.

• Disrupts fungal cell membrane: By inhibiting the activity of squaline epoxidase, terbinafine disrupts the formation of ergosterol, which in turn compromises the integrity of the fungal cell membrane. As a result, cellular contents leak out due to increased membrane permeability, leading eventually to death of the fungal cells.

• Targets infection sites: Oral terbinafine efficiently distributes into skin, nails and hair follicles, reaching the actual sites of fungal infections. Even after completing the treatment course, it remains in the skin and nails for several weeks, ensuring effective management of the infection.
