Belloid 10 MG Tablet is used for the management of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and provides relief from abdominal pain and cramping. It helps manage painful stomach spasms and eases intestinal muscle contractions.

Follow these instructions while taking Belloid 10 MG Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.

• You can take this medicine with or without food.

• Try to take it at the same time each day for better results.

• Complete the full course of treatment even if you feel better.

Belloid 10 MG Tablet contains hyoscine butylbromide (10 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Blocks Muscarinic Receptors: Hyoscine butylbromide blocks specific receptors called muscarinic receptors in smooth muscle tissue, preventing the action of acetylcholine, a chemical messenger that triggers muscle contractions.

• Reduces Smooth Muscle Spasms: By blocking these receptors, the medicine relaxes the smooth muscles in your digestive tract, urinary tract, and biliary system, reducing painful spasms and cramping.

• Peripheral Action: Unlike other forms of hyoscine, the butylbromide salt doesn't readily cross the blood-brain barrier, meaning it mainly targets muscles outside the brain and produces minimal effects on the central nervous system.

• Normalises Bowel Movements: In IBS patients, the medicine helps regulate excessive contractions in the intestines, which can normalise the pattern of bowel movements and reduce discomfort.
