Beclotec N 0.025/0.5 % Ointment 15 GM

Beclotec N 0.025/0.5 % Ointment 15 GM is used for the following:

• Superficial bacterial skin infections

• Inflammatory skin conditions with bacterial involvement

• Infected skin rashes and irritations

• Eczema with secondary bacterial infection

• Dermatitis accompanied by bacterial infection

• Contact dermatitis with bacterial complications

• Localised skin inflammation with infection

• Infected minor skin injuries

• Allergic skin reactions with bacterial infection

• Inflamed hair follicles

• Wash your hands thoroughly before and after application.

• Ensure the affected skin area is clean and dry before use.

• Apply a thin layer of the ointment to the affected area.

• Gently massage the ointment into the skin until it disappears.

• Avoid contact with eyes, nose, and mouth.

• If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.

• Do not cover the applied area with bandages unless advised by your doctor.

• Continue using the ointment regularly for best results.

Beclotec N 0.025/0.5 % Ointment 15 GM is applied topically.

Beclotec N 0.025/0.5 % Ointment 15 GM contains two active ingredients:

• Beclomethasone dipropionate (0.025%): This synthetic corticosteroid works by binding to glucocorticoid receptors in your skin cells, which suppresses the inflammatory response. It reduces the activity of mast cells and eosinophils (types of immune cells) and decreases the release of cytokines (chemical messengers that promote inflammation).

• Neomycin (0.5%): This aminoglycoside antibiotic fights bacterial infections by preventing bacteria from making essential proteins they need to survive. It is effective against various bacteria commonly found in skin infections, including Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli (commonly known as E. coli).

• Store the ointment in a cool, dry place below 30°C.

• Keep away from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Ensure the tube is tightly closed after each use to prevent contamination.

• Store out of reach of children.

• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date printed on the packaging.

• Discard any unused ointment properly.

• Keep the affected skin area clean and dry before applying Beclotec N 0.025/0.5 % Ointment 15 GM to prevent further bacterial growth and inflammation (swelling and redness).

• Wear loose, cotton clothing over the affected areas to reduce irritation and allow your skin to breathe, which helps the healing process.
