Atorvatin Ap 10/150 Capsule 10 is used for the following:

• Prevention of heart attacks in high-risk patients

Follow these instructions while taking Atorvatin Ap 10/150 Capsule 10:

• You may take this medicine with or without food.

• Take it at the same time each day to help you remember.

Atorvatin Ap 10/150 Capsule 10 contains two active ingredients that work together to protect your heart and blood vessels.

• Aspirin (150 mg): Acts as an antiplatelet agent by irreversibly inhibiting an enzyme called cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1). This prevents the production of thromboxane A2, a substance that causes platelets in your blood to stick together and form clots.

• Atorvastatin (10 mg): Functions as a competitive inhibitor of HMG-CoA reductase, which is the rate-limiting enzyme in cholesterol production. By blocking this enzyme, it reduces the amount of cholesterol your body makes, particularly lowering levels of LDL (low-density lipoprotein) or "bad" cholesterol.
