Ascodex BR Syrup is a combination medicine used to treat cough accompanied by thick mucus in respiratory conditions such as bronchitis, bronchial asthma, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It thins phlegm and relaxes airway muscles to clear chest congestion and make breathing easier.
It contains guaifenesin, terbutaline, and bromhexine. Take the syrup in the dose and duration prescribed by your doctor, using a measuring spoon or cup. Take it after meals to prevent stomach discomfort. Continue taking it for the full duration recommended by your doctor.
Drink plenty of warm water throughout the day while taking this cough syrup. Adequate fluid intake helps thin the mucus in your chest, making it easier to cough out. Avoid tobacco smoke and environmental irritants.
Before taking this syrup, tell your doctor if you have high blood pressure, heart disease, thyroid disorders, diabetes, or stomach ulcers. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Report persistent tremors, fast heartbeat, or severe stomach pain promptly.
