Apixabid 5 Mg Tablet 10 is used to lower the risk of stroke and blood clots in people with an irregular heartbeat (non-valvular atrial fibrillation). It helps prevent serious cardiovascular complications by reducing clot formation.
This medicine contains apixaban, an anticoagulant that prevents blood clots. Take it as prescribed, usually twice daily with or without food. It is important to take this medicine regularly and exactly as directed. Do not stop suddenly without consulting your doctor, as this increases the risk of stroke.
Maintain a consistent routine and take the medicine at the same time each day. Report any signs of bleeding (unusual bruising, nosebleeds, blood in urine) immediately. Avoid activities with high injury risk. Inform all healthcare providers that you are taking this medicine.
Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you have bleeding disorders, recent surgery, or are taking other medicines, especially other anticoagulants. Tell your doctor immediately if you experience signs of stroke (weakness, speech difficulty) or excessive bleeding. Regular monitoring may be needed. This medicine is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
