Anefol Xt Tablet 10 is used in the following conditions: 

• Management and prevention of iron deficiency anaemia
• Addressing and preventing folic acid deficiency
• Supplementation during pregnancy to fulfil increased iron and folic acid needs
• Ensuring adequate nutritional intake in the lactation period
• Meeting heightened iron and folic acid requirements during heavy menstrual bleeding
• Providing necessary supplementation in chronic kidney disease
• Supplementing nutritional needs in malabsorption disorders

Take Anefol Xt Tablet 10 in the following way or as your doctor prescribes:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a bit of water.
• Do not crush or chew the tablet.
• Always stick to your doctor's instructions on how many tablets you should take.
• Remember, it's important not to stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Anefol Xt Tablet 10 should be taken orally.

Anefol Xt Tablet 10 contains the following components:

• Ferrous Ascorbate (100 mg): This compound is a combination of ferrous iron and Vitamin C (ascorbic acid). When taken, it breaks down into ferrous ions (Fe2+) and ascorbic acid in the digestive system. The ascorbic acid helps enhance iron absorption by converting it into a form that the body can easily absorb. The absorbed iron is then used to produce haemoglobin, myoglobin, and various iron-dependent enzymes.
• Folic Acid (1.1 mg): Also known as Vitamin B9, folic acid is a crucial nutrient for DNA synthesis and the production of red blood cells. Once absorbed, it is converted into its active form, tetrahydrofolate (THF), which acts as a coenzyme in several metabolic processes. Folic acid plays a key role in red blood cell maturation and helps prevent megaloblastic anaemia caused by folate deficiency.
