Composition

Sultamicillin Tosilate (375 Mg)

AMPISURE TABLET 10 is used to treat bacterial respiratory infections such as sinusitis, otitis media, tonsillitis, bronchitis, and pneumonia. It is also used for urinary tract, skin, soft-tissue, and intra-abdominal infections.

It is a penicillin-type antibiotic combined with a beta-lactamase inhibitor. Together these kill the bacteria and protect the antibiotic from being broken down by resistant bacteria.

Complete the full course as prescribed, and do not stop the medicine abruptly, as this can reduce its effect. Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Tell your doctor about any existing conditions or other medicines before starting.

AMPISURE TABLET 10 is used to treat bacterial infections by killing the bacteria responsible.

Primary Uses of AMPISURE TABLET 10 are:

Respiratory and ENT Infections: Treats sinusitis, otitis media, tonsillitis, bronchitis, and pneumonia.
Other Infections: Manages urinary tract, skin, soft-tissue, intra-abdominal, and gonococcal infections.

Take AMPISURE TABLET 10 with a glass of water.
Swallow the tablet as a whole, do not crush or chew it.
This medication should be taken preferably with meals.

AMPISURE TABLET 10 should be taken orally.

AMPISURE TABLET 10 may cause some side effects that are usually mild. If they persist or get worse, speak to your doctor.

AMPISURE TABLET 10 contains Sultamicillin Tosilate (375 Mg) that works in the following ways:

Sultamicillin tosilate is a prodrug that, once absorbed, gets hydrolyzed into: ampicillin (a penicillin antibiotic) and sulbactam (a beta-lactamase inhibitor), which work together to combat resistant bacteria. Ampicillin kills the bacteria by inhibiting their cell wall synthesis, while sulbactam prevents bacterial enzymes from breaking down the antibiotic. This enhances the effectiveness of the treatment against a broader range of infections.

Pregnancy
