Amlozaar H Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing high blood pressure in adults.

• Controlling resistant hypertension that requires multiple medications.

• Reducing the risk of stroke in hypertensive patients.

• Preventing heart attacks in high-risk individuals.

• Lowering the risk of kidney problems in hypertensive patients.

• Managing hypertension in patients with diabetes.

• Providing comprehensive blood pressure control.

• Helping patients unresponsive to single blood pressure medicines.

Follow these instructions while taking Amlozaar H Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

• Take this medicine at the same time each day for best results.

• You can take this medicine with or without food, but be consistent.

• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.

• Always follow your doctor's specific instructions for this medicine.

Amlozaar H Tablet is taken orally.

Amlozaar H Tablet contains three active ingredients that work together to lower blood pressure:

• Amlodipine (5 mg): This calcium channel blocker relaxes and widens blood vessels by reducing calcium flow into vascular smooth muscle cells. This action decreases resistance in blood vessels and lowers blood pressure.

• Hydrochlorothiazide (12.5 mg): As a thiazide diuretic, it increases urination to help your kidneys remove excess salt and water from your body. This process reduces blood volume and pressure on your artery walls, while also promoting blood vessel relaxation over time.

• Losartan (50 mg): This angiotensin II receptor blocker prevents a hormone called angiotensin II from binding to its receptors. This results in blood vessel relaxation, increased sodium excretion, and decreased production of aldosterone (a hormone that raises blood pressure).

• Store Amlozaar H Tablet at room temperature between 20°C and 25°C.

• Keep the medication in the original container, tightly closed to protect them from light and moisture.

• Do not store in bathrooms where humidity levels are high.

• Keep all medicines out of reach and sight of children.

• Check the expiry date and don't use this medicine after it has expired.

• Reduce your salt (sodium) intake by limiting processed foods, canned soups, and salty snacks, as high sodium consumption can worsen high blood pressure (hypertension).

• Stay physically active with regular moderate exercise like brisk walking for 30 minutes most days, which helps lower blood pressure naturally and improves how well your blood pressure medicines work.
