Amantide Capsule 15

Amantide Capsule is used for the following:

• Managing symptoms of Parkinson's disease such as muscle stiffness and difficulty in movement
• Controlling tremors associated with Parkinson's disease
• Preventing and managing infections caused by influenza A virus

Here are the instructions to follow while taking Amantide Capsule:

• Strictly follow the dosage and timing instructions provided by your doctor for this medication.
• Do not change or exceed the prescribed dose without your doctor's approval.
• Consult your doctor before discontinuing this medication; do not stop taking it without their guidance.
• Adhere to the dietary recommendations given by your doctor.

Amantide Capsule is taken orally.

Amantide Capsule contains amantadine (100 mg). It acts on your body in the following ways:

• Increases Dopamine Levels: Amantadine helps increase the levels of dopamine in your brain. Dopamine is a type of chemical messenger known as a neurotransmitter which plays a vital role in coordinating body movements.
• Facilitates Dopamine Release: This medicine facilitates the release of dopamine from nerve endings and inhibits its reuptake or absorption back into the nerve cells. This results in enhanced transmission of dopamine signals which helps improve body coordination in Parkinson's disease.
• Exhibits Antiviral Activity: Apart from its effect on dopamine, amantadine also shows antiviral activity against influenza A viruses. It interferes with the function of a viral protein called M2 thereby preventing the virus from reproducing within our cells.

• Keep your Amantide Capsule in its original packaging to protect it.
• Store it at room temperature, ideally below 25 degrees Celsius.
• Avoid exposure to light and moisture.
