Alphagan P Eye Drops are utilised for the following health conditions:

• Lowering increased intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with ocular hypertension: This condition arises when the pressure inside your eyes is higher than normal, which could potentially damage your optic nerve.

• Management of open-angle glaucoma:open-angle glaucoma: This is a common form of glaucoma in which the drain structure in the eye (trabecular meshwork) becomes less efficient over time, leading to an increase in internal eye pressure.

Administer Alphagan P Eye Drops by following these steps:

• Begin by thoroughly washing your hands.

• Tilt your head back slightly and pull down on the lower eyelid to create a small pocket for the drop.

• Hold the dropper above the eye, squeeze out one drop, and then close your eye.

• Use your finger to gently press on the inside corner of the eye for about 1 minute to prevent the liquid from draining into your tear duct.

• If you need to use another drop or another type of eyedrop, wait at least 5 minutes before administering it.

• Remember to replace and tighten the cap straight after use.

Alphagan P Eye Drops contains two active ingredients:

• Brimonidine Tartrate (0.15%): This acts as an alpha 2 adrenergic receptor agonist. It reduces IOP by lowering aqueous humour production – a fluid that fills the front part of our eyes. In doing so, it helps to relieve pressure within the eye.

• Stabilized Oxychloro Complex (Purite) (0.005%): This component provides antimicrobial activity while being gentle to the ocular surface. It adds a protective layer against harmful microorganisms, ensuring that your eyes stay free from infections while using this medication.

• Store Alphagan P Eye Drops in a cool place.

• Keep the medicine away from light to maintain its effectiveness.

• Always secure the cap tightly after use to avoid exposure to air.
