Alphagan P Eye Drops are used to lower raised pressure inside the eye in people with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. By lowering eye pressure, they help protect the optic nerve and reduce the risk of vision loss.
It contains brimonidine, a medicine that lowers eye pressure by reducing the amount of fluid the eye makes and improving its drainage. Use the drops as directed by your doctor, and avoid touching the dropper tip to the eye or any surface.
Simple measures support treatment. Use the drops at the same time each day for steady pressure control, and if you use more than one eye drop, leave a gap of a few minutes between them.
Before using this medicine, tell your doctor about any heart, blood pressure, or circulation problems, and about other medicines you use. Report any marked eye pain, persistent redness, or changes in vision.
