Almox-CV 625 Tablet is used to treat bacterial infections affecting the lungs, sinuses, ears, urinary tract, skin and soft tissues. It helps clear infection and relieve related symptoms such as fever, pain and swelling.
It contains amoxicillin and clavulanic acid, an antibiotic and a beta-lactamase inhibitor that work together to stop bacteria growing and extend the antibiotic's activity against certain resistant bacteria. Take the tablet as prescribed, ideally after meals to reduce stomach upset, and complete the full course even if you feel better before it is finished.
Taking probiotic foods such as yoghurt during and after the course may help support healthy gut bacteria, which can be affected by antibiotic treatment. Staying well hydrated can also help ease mild digestive side effects.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any liver problems or a known allergy to penicillin-type antibiotics. Contact your doctor straight away if you develop a rash, breathing difficulty, or facial swelling, as this may indicate a serious allergic reaction.
