Afrelect 0.5 MG Tablet 10 interacts with the following medicines:

• Other MAO inhibitors (such as selegiline, linezolid): Increased risk of hypertensive crisis. Concomitant use must be avoided.
• Certain antidepressants (SSRIs such as fluoxetine, sertraline, or SNRIs such as venlafaxine): May cause serotonin syndrome with symptoms like agitation, sweating, tremor, or confusion.
• Pain medicines (such as meperidine, tramadol, methadone): Can cause serious and potentially fatal interactions.
• St. John’s Wort: Increases the risk of serotonin syndrome and blood pressure fluctuations.

• Foods rich in high levels of tyramine: Foods such as aged cheeses, cured meats, soy products, yeast extracts, sauerkraut, and draft beer, may lead to dangerously high blood pressure. These should be avoided while taking Afrelect 0.5 MG Tablet 10.

Afrelect 0.5 MG Tablet 10 interacts with the following conditions:

• Uncontrolled hypertension: Afrelect 0.5 MG Tablet 10 may raise blood pressure further and should be used cautiously.
• Psychiatric disorders: May worsen depression or cause hallucinations in susceptible individuals.

The daily recommended dose of Afrelect 0.5 MG Tablet 10 is prescribed by your doctor. Your doctor will determine the exact dosage based on your health condition, stage of Parkinson’s disease, and response to treatment.
 

An overdose of Afrelect 0.5 MG Tablet 10 may cause severe headache, hallucinations, agitation, chest discomfort, increased heartbeat, or very high blood pressure. Seek emergency medical attention immediately if overdose is suspected.
 

If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is close to your next scheduled dose. Skip the missed dose if it is nearly time for the next one. Do not double the dose to make up for a forgotten tablet.
