Aedicold Kid 2/5 Mg Syrup 60 Ml is a cold and allergy medicine used to relieve symptoms of the common cold and allergies, such as sneezing, a runny or blocked nose, sinus pressure and watery, itchy eyes. It is a combination medicine containing chlorpheniramine, an antihistamine, and phenylephrine, a decongestant, and belongs to a class of medicines called antihistamine and decongestant combinations.
This medicine works by calming the allergic response with the antihistamine and by reducing swelling in the lining of the nose with the decongestant, which eases congestion and helps you breathe more easily. Take it as prescribed, and use it for short periods only. It may cause drowsiness.
Avoid alcohol, and take care with driving or using machinery until you know how this medicine affects you. See your doctor if symptoms last longer than 7 days. This syrup contains sugar, so people with diabetes should check with their doctor first.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have heart disease, high blood pressure, glaucoma, difficulty passing urine, liver or kidney problems, or are pregnant or breastfeeding, as the decongestant can affect these. It should not be given to children under 4 years of age unless a doctor advises, and in children you should watch for restlessness or excitability.
