Tynor K 14 Bunion Splint is used for realigning the big toe by stretching tightened soft tissues over time, helping correct bunion (hallux abducto valgus) deformity. This splint includes a metal-riveted dynamic hinge that maintains toe flexibility, suitable for use even while walking and available for both day and night wear. • Take out the splint and identify the cushioned toe separator, hinge mechanism and adjustable straps.
• Place the splint so the toe separator fits between the big toe and second toe, with the hinge aligning near the base of the big toe joint.
• Gently pull the big toe outward (away from the second toe) to achieve light correction and hold it in place using the velcro strap that wraps around the toe.
• Wrap the main strap around the mid-foot or arch, securing it firmly but comfortably. Ensure it’s not too tight to avoid restricting blood flow.
• You can wear the splint during the day in roomy shoes or at night while sleeping, depending on your comfort and needs.
• Start by wearing it for 2–3 hours a day, then gradually increase wear time or as directed by a healthcare professional.
